Leading Indian Dance Company Helps Raise Funds For New Temple

The 2005 New Temple Concert Fundraiser, performed by Mythili Kumar, Malavika Kumar and Abhinaya Dance Company will be held on Saturday, July 9th, 2005 at 5pm at The Jain Bhawan Temple located at 722 South Main Street in Milpitas, California. The event, organized by ISKCON of Silicon Valley, will raise funds which will go towards building a new Radha Krishna Temple in San Jose. The concert, Radha Madhavam: The Song of Divine Love, promises to enchant attendees of all ages, race, and religion.     

“We are delighted that the Abhinaya Dance Company is so committed to our cause. We feel strongly about our community and the temple’s mission and it’s so exhilarating to see others also as dedicated. The Abhinaya Dance Company, founded by Artistic Director Mythili Kumar in 1980, is dedicated to promoting classic dance forms and trains over 120 children and adults annually. With a 25+ year history, The Abhinaya Dance Company is well known for its top notch performances and as a major leader in Indian arts. Having received 10 National Endowment for the Arts grants and the prestigious Rockefeller Foundation award, this dance company is a leader in California and beyond. Their lively and dramatic performances will surely be educational, cultural stimulating and entertaining.
